It is run by Prof Jim Austin and is located in the countryside a few miles out of York; it contains a huge range of computers including some large mainframes. Alex and I dropped off the S100 system on our way south in July 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.derbycomputermuseum.co.uk\/\">Derby Computer Museum<\/a>, Derby: Macintosh Classic II, Apple II , Atari Mega ST2, Atari monitor.<br>This couldn&#8217;t be more different from The Computer Sheds. It&#8217;s a hands-on museum in the centre of Derby with a large range of home computers, most of which are running games programs. We delivered the kit the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/collections.swansea.ac.uk\/s\/history-of-computing-collection\/page\/welcome\">History of Computing Collection<\/a>, Swansea: Nascom, Atari 1040 STF.<br>We didn&#8217;t get a chance to visit as it was a bit out of our way to France so the kit was packaged up and sent by courier.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is a list of the Computer Museums that I contacted: After asking those which expressed an interest to identify which items they really wanted, I made the following allocations: The Computer Sheds, York: S100.
